Competition is unique in many ways:

We are focused only on Tap Dance. *We encourage all levels
of dancers to experience the thrill of a live audience

We are proud of the place in history that the City of
Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection has with Tap Dance
The Tap Challenge Competition
is a 2 step process. Here is how it works:
STEP 1.
Registered Competitors in each age category may perform their numbers for the
audience.
STEP 2.
Registered Competitors in each age category have 4 rounds of Challenging one
another, acapella style, offering the audience a second reason why they should
hold the title of Philly Tap Idol or Philly
Tap Idol Jr
. This distinguishing moment shows the
personality of each dancer to its fullest potential. There will be only one
winner in each category.
STEP 3. Philly Tap Idols get the unprecidented opportunity
to 'CHALLENGE' professional headliners

learn new fascinating rhythms, moves and respect for one another! Come on!
